well Yesterday we god some not so exiting news ... The devil was not happy so he tried to bring us down. Have you ever had a "thorn in the flesh" Situation or person. Do you wonder why these thorns seem to always be coming back attack after attack? Well I thought these things. I sometimes wondered why God would not deal with those people who were a thorn in my flesh. But i am gona tell you astory that changed my view on the thorns in our lives.

 

Once upon a time ( no it is not a fairy tail)

 

there was a reverend guy from texas, He would go from state to state to preach the word of God or do conference

after conference after conference he noticed that there were three other men who would always attend and would always be taking notes. After a while those mens would then go to every state that the rev. would go to before he got there. They would twist his words and created discension. And when the rev. would get there he found out about the uncorrect rummors being spread about him.

 

The rev. gew very fustrated and cried out to God. He said' Lord please remove these men kill them for they are spreading wrong things and are just nuisance to your kingdom.

Days passed and the problems just got worse. So once again he went to God and said" Ok lord I get it ....i guess you wont kill them but Lord please let them get hurt badly so that they wont be able to attend the conference and would stop being trouble" But they would still attend.

 

So one night the Rev. dreamt that he was sitting on Gods lap. God asked him how he was doing and then told him that he had a sursprise for him. then Gods angels brought out this beautiful sculpture out of some type of Glass. It was beautiful but there were these 3 hands with chissels working at it. But all he could see the was the 3 hands. So the Rev asked" Lord what is this?" The Lord said" This is you" Just as he said that  the same three men that were being a thorn at his side appeared. The Lord said ' I am using these guys to form you into who i want you to be!"

 

So yes even though hardship hurt us we should understand that God is just trying to get us to grow strong in him. Even though there are growth pains rejoice that the lord is at work and is making you into a beautiful person. Praise the Lord for the thorns in life! Praise him for always teaching us new things everyday.

 

This week we encountered another thorn at the building site but the Lord's name was glorified ! Everything worked ou just great and we witnessed Gods unfailing Love.
